Description:

The performance “The three brothers and the golden apple” is based on an old folklore tale, retold by three fairy knitters. They knit the tale and thus they knit a whole life - …The three brothers received as a heritage from their father a golden apple. Unfortunately, every year the Glutton /Lamia/ came and steal the apple. Only the youngest brother of the three had the courage to follow the Lamia and take back his apple. During this journey he grew up and found out that the strength if a man is hidden in the heart. Thus, he discovered the forgotten virtues as – faith, hope, love. He rediscovered the friendship and wisdom. With all these in his heart he managed to overcome the Lamia and take his precious golden apple. This is a performance for the roots and the heritage that we have from our ancestors. A performance dedicated to the vary aim of preserving the national dignity and identity. A performance in which the traditional Bulgarian folk music, the folk art and handiwork, the Bulgarian dances and traditions are intermingled to result in a fairy, magical tale.
