Ana-Mariya Plamenova

Guest Actress at Plovdiv Puppet Theatre

Born on 15 July 2003.

She is graduating in 2026 from the Krastyo Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts (NATFA), majoring in Puppet Theatre Acting in the class of Associate Professor Boryana Georgieva, with Professor Rumen Rachev as Chief Assistant.

During her studies, she has performed in numerous productions on the stages of NATFA, Plovdiv Puppet Theatre, Boyan Danovski Drama Theatre in Pernik, and Boris Lukanov Drama Theatre in Lovech.

Her stage credits include roles in Coriolanus and Scandal, directed by Dr. Sava Dragunchev; How the Moon Lost Its Light, directed by Dimitar Stefanov; Who Am I?, directed by Galina Savova (Plovdiv Puppet Theatre); Blood, directed by Marinela Dragomirova (Boyan Danovski Drama Theatre – Pernik); as well as The Adventures of Pinocchio, The Goat Horn (Boris Lukanov Drama Theatre – Lovech), among others.

Alongside her theatrical work, she actively develops her artistic skills in other fields. She plays percussion instruments and is the drummer of the band SAGA. She participated in the Bulgarian dubbing of the animated feature film The Wild Robot, directed by Chavdar Monov, and appeared in the film The Motorcycle, directed by Valentin Gochev.

She possesses a wide range of performance and musical skills, including singing (pop and jazz), Bulgarian folk dancing, dance and aerial acrobatics, juggling, and working with illuminated and fire props. She has also been a member of the Youth Orchestra and the majorette ensemble of the city of Lovech.
