OFFICIAL SELECTION 

THEATAIR 2026 ARTIST RESIDENCY "LIGHT"

Following the evaluation of all submitted applications, we are pleased to announce the official selection for the international artist residency "Light", part of TheatAir 2026 – International Street Arts Festival, Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

The selected participants are:

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who applied. We received inspiring applications from artists representing different countries, making the selection process both exciting and highly competitive.

Congratulations to all selected participants! We look forward to welcoming you to Plovdiv from 30 August to 7 September 2026 for an intensive period of collaborative creation, experimentation, and the construction of large-scale illuminated parade puppets, culminating in the TheatAir Parade of Light on 7 September.

We sincerely hope that all selected participants will be able to join the residency. If, for any reason, a selected participant is unable to attend, the organizing team will contact the next eligible applicant(s) directly.
