“Hamlet” premieres at the Beijing Puppet Art Week

The Plovdiv State Puppet Theatre presented its production to a full house at one of the most prestigious theatres in China, with sold-out tickets and a lively discussion with the audience.

The first performance of “Hamlet” within the international festival Beijing Puppet Art Week is now a fact.

The audience responded with great interest – a vivid discussion with numerous questions followed, once again proving that art has the power to connect people beyond language and cultural differences.

We are proud that tickets for the performance were sold out in advance and that our “Hamlet” is the only production in the program scheduled to be presented four times on the stage of one of the most renowned theatres in China – the Experimental Theatre of Beijing People's Art Theatre.

As part of the festival, the actors from the troupe of the Plovdiv State Puppet Theatre also conducted a special puppetry workshop. It became a valuable experience for all participants, full of idea exchange, professional insight, and inspiration.
