Premiere of the performance "Ronya, the robber's daughter" by Astrid Lindgren
The first premiere performance of the State Puppet Theater - Plovdiv for the new theater season - "Ronya, the robber's daughter" - awaits its viewers this and next week.
The premiere is on October 6th at 7:00 p.m., and then the performance will be presented on two consecutive Saturdays /October 7th and 14th/ at the regular times for children's performances in the theater - 10:30 and 11:45 a.m.
The play tells the story of two rival robber families, of Matis and Burka. The enmity between them is passed from father to son, and no one even remembers why they actually hate each other anymore. But hatred has become a part of their lives. And everything would have continued for who knows how long, if this hadn't happened one day - a daughter, Ronya, was born to the robber Matis. At the same time, Matis' mortal enemy, Burka, had a son, Birk. Not long after, the two children meet and everything goes wrong... Or does it get better?
A "rogue" story about true friendship, childish self-confidence and not-so-childish determination that can change everything for the better.
The performance is based on the book by Astrid Lindgren, beloved by generations of children. Through her characters, always inventive, dissenting and insightful, she gives voice to children, protecting their naive but fair and true to goodness nature.
The director of the show is Hristina Arsenova, who skillfully emphasizes the senselessness of hatred in the world of adults. It is opposed by the pure childish point of view and the courage to choose the untrodden path of goodness and love.
The creative team of "Ronya, the Robber's Daughter" - scenographer Emeliana Toteva and composers Gergana and Alex Anmahyan, skilfully emphasize the concept with detailed puppets and music with a strong emotional charge. Through their work in the performance, both the characters with their specific characteristics and the fantastical elements that Astrid Lindgren includes in the book are revealed.
Actors from the State Puppet Theater - Plovdiv - Kalina Valcheva, Natalia Vasileva, Velizar Evtimov and Dimitar Nikolov - Shablata bring the story to life.
Tickets for the performance can be purchased at the theater box office, in the Eventim network and online at eventim.bg and grabo.bg
